Leading Edge Technology

From the beginning igea Home Care Software was developed using the most advanced industry standard Microsoft tools and technologies available, including Microsoft SQL Server, a highly scalable robust platform that ensures the integrity of your data. Home care providers ranging in size from single location agencies to multi-site integrated service delivery networks use igea Home Health Software with equal ease.

You Choose the Set-up You Want

igea Home Health Care Software can be located in your office on your own computer network or hosted at Indura Systems' San Francisco secure hosting facility or as a hosted software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription program over the Internet. No matter what configuration you choose, you can access your business over the Internet through a secure connection from anywhere in the world. No matter what you choose you are in control of your business.

Indura Systems offers these choices for using igea Home Health Software.

• Don’t want to be responsible for the upfront capital investment, purchase, installation, upkeep, and back-up of your computer system to operate your agency? Software as a Service (SaaS) may be the right solution for you.
• Want to own your hardware and have a perpetual license for your agency management software? Then a client server based system may be just the right thing for you.
• Want to have a perpetual software license for your agency management software but don’t want to be responsible for buying, installing, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting a computer server and its operating system? Consider having Indura host your igea Home Care Software. We will install, support, upgrade, and maintain your software on our servers.

In order to stay current with state and federal regulations all the choices below require a monthly recurring fee for customer support, maintenance, technological improvements, and software enhancements.

SaaS

SaaS is a software delivery method that provides access to your agency management software and its functions remotely as a secure Web-based service. SaaS allows home health care agencies to access business functionality at a cost typically less than paying for licensed applications since SaaS pricing is based on a monthly subscription fee – similar to the way you get cellular telephone services. Also, because the software is hosted remotely, users don't need to invest in additional hardware. SaaS removes the need for organizations to handle the installation, set-up and often daily upkeep and maintenance.

Software as a Service, sometimes referred to as "software on demand," is software that is deployed over the internet and/or is deployed to run behind a firewall on a local area network. With SaaS, Indura Systems licenses igea HHC as an application to our customers as a service on demand, through a monthly subscription fee. This approach to application delivery is part of the utility computing model where all of the technology is in the "cloud" accessed over the Internet as a service. Hardware system components to support a SaaS system on your site require all necessary user workstations and peripherals (hubs, printers, tape drives, etc.). Issues with your user workstation's hardware and/or operating system are the responsibility of your information technology (IT) support resources.

Client Server

A client-server based system describes an installation of igea Home Care Software that resides on your own computer (hardware) system. The system components typically include a server, user (clients) workstations (often desktop PCs or laptops), an Internet access point (often a cable modem or T-1 line), a computer network with a hub (wired or wireless), printers, and a backup device such as a tape drive. The server stores the igea Home Healthcare Software, your agency’s data, and (often) other programs. The user workstations access the igea Home Healthcare Software and your data on your server.

The client-server model of computing is a distributed application structure that partitions tasks or workloads between a provider of a resource or service, called a server, and service requesters, called clients or user workstations. Often clients and servers communicate over a computer network on separate hardware, but both client and server may reside in the same system. A server machine is a host that is running one or more server programs, such as igea HHC, which share their resources (application and operating system software, memory (RAM), hard drive storage, etc.) with user workstations (clients). A client does not share any of its resources, but requests a server's content or service function. Clients therefore initiate communication sessions with servers which await incoming requests.

A client-server environment requires that you rent, lease, or purchase server hardware with an appropriate operating system, adequate RAM and disk space for optimum igea Home Care Software performance and all necessary user workstations and peripherals (hubs, printers, tape drives, etc.). Issues with your computer hardware, peripherals (hubs, printers, tape drives, etc.), and/or operating systems are the responsibility of your information technology (IT) support resources.

Application Hosting

Similar to a SaaS software delivery model, application hosting is a type of Internet hosting service that relieves you of the responsibility of acquiring, installing, and maintaining a server and its operating system while you own (through a perpetual license) your agency’s igea Home Health Software. Indura Systems hosting allows agencies to have their igea Home Care Software available to their office staff, administrators, management, caregivers, and owners securely via the World Wide Web without the difficulties and up-front costs associated with purchasing and maintaining their own computer system sever.

Application Hosting requires all necessary user workstations and peripherals on your site but not a computer server and its operating system. Issues with your user workstations, computer peripherals (hubs, printers, tape drives, etc.) and/or operating system are the responsibility of your information technology (IT) support resources.
